Welcome to Wilmslow Hockey Club
Wilmslow Hockey Club currently have 4 Men‘s teams, 4 Ladies teams and a number of Junior teams. Training and matches take place on our Astroturf pitch by our Clubhouse at The Phoenix Sports Club, Oakwood Farm, Styal, SK9 4HP. Wilmslow Hockey Club always welcomes new members of all ages and abilities. Please email a member of the club in the club committee section or come along to training, or email Rich Ward. Training commences in August, with all of our training sessions run by fully qualified hockey coaches. The specific training times and dates are detailed below.
Monday - Fitness Training for all (£2 per person, 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. at the clubhouse)
Tues - 6 - 7pm Juniors (under 11)
Tues - 7 - 8.30pm Ladies 3s + 4s + Older Juniors
Tues - 8 - 9.30pm Ladies 1s + 2s
Weds - 7 - 8pm Junior Boys (under 15)
Weds - 7 - 8:30pm Mens 3s + 4s
Weds - 8 - 10pm Mens 1s + 2s
In addition to the hockey, we have a busy social calendar (see upcoming events section). Our friendly club organises an end of year dinner dance, regular social events including themed parties, quizzes, a barn dance and a range of fundraising activities in the local community such as marshalling for the Wilmslow Half-Marathon and Fire-works. In addition to this are inter- and intra-club tournaments at our own pitch and the memorable Hockey Tours in the UK and overseas.
