Coaches

We are delighted that Sam has joined us this season to lead training for the Men's 1s/2s and support junior coaching. Sam has played hockey right from the age of 13 all the way to Men's 1s team and county level. He has coached Ladies 1s and Ladies 2s at Bolton as-well as the Mens 2s-3s. Sam has also coached juniors for many years. Sam is currently the Greater Manchester county U17 boys lead coach and the assistant coach for U12/13 boys teams too. Sam is qualified as a level 1 coach but working towards his level 2 certification. Sam is also a level 3 umpire and umpires national league games most weekends! 

James enters his second coaching season with the club. James is a very experienced coach with recent positions coaching East Cheshire U14 girls, Worcestershire HC Juniors, Crewe Vagrants Ladies 3/4s, Deeside ramblers Ladies 3/4s and Barton HC Juniors and Men's 3/4s. James is a Level 3 qualified coach and Level 2 qualified umpire.

James' primary role this year is coaching the Men's 3/4s and U15 boys on a Wednesday evening.

We are delighted that Carol has joined us this year as Ladies Head Coach.

Holly has led Junior Coaching at the club since 2022/23 and we are delighted she will continue in 2024/25

Holly has been playing Hockey at Warrington for 14 years, with 5 of those including some coaching in the Junior and Senior sections. Holly has been a Junior Development Officer as a qualified Hockey Coach for 2 seasons, and has brought her experience and knowledge to Wilmslow.

With a background and profession around sport and teaching young children, Holly puts put an emphasis on making sure her children in sessions are developing through fun and enjoyment in their hockey sessions. With thorough detailled planning, she likes to bring activities to help all our children develop at their own pace through a range of drills which are then developed into games based hockey. 

Dave led Junior Coaching for Under 8s last year and we are delighted he will continue in 2024/2025.
