Invitation to AGM - Sunday 18th May

Sunday 18th May 2025 at 2pm in our clubhouse. The bar will be open!

We need a quorum of at least 20% of adult members so please come along to support your club and have your say! Please let us know on Teamo that you are coming!

We will keep the meeting as short as possible!

Junior members and parents/guardians are welcome to attend but only adult members can vote.

The agenda includes a short report from the committee, adopting a new policy (Anti-Sexual Harassment), update on club finances (including agreeing membership fees) and the election of committee members for next year.  We’ll also talk about how to reinvigorate membership of the men’s section. See draft agenda below.

If there is anything extra that you would like to raise at the meeting, please let Becca Healey (Chair) or Jim Garside (Secretary) know by Saturday 10th May 2025.

The draft minutes of last year’s meeting are below, for approval at our AGM. Please let me know ASAP if there are any omissions or inaccuracies in the draft minutes. 

• Changes to the Equality Act 2010 came into force in October 2024, requiring all organisations to be proactive in identifying situations where sexual harassment might occur (e.g. a bar environment) and take reasonable steps to prevent it.
• We have developed our own Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy setting out the Club’s zero-tolerance for sexual harassment and confirming that the club will take all such allegations seriously. 
• We need to formally adopt the policy in this AGM

The club is run by volunteers on behalf of all members.  As usual, all committee positions are up for election at the AGM and some individuals will not be seeking re-election. Could you offer to take one of the positions or contribute on an occasional basis?
