Thank you to everyone who volunteered and marshalled at the Wilmslow Summer 10K on Sunday.
- Not only did our volunteers support a popular community event, they also helped raise vital funds for the club.
- Special thanks go to Sharon Holford, Steve Kinsella and Martin Wright for organising us all!
- We were again short of hockey club volunteers for the race - some of our volunteers had to marshal alone instead of as a pair, and we had to give away places and income to other organisations 🙁.
- If you weren’t able to volunteer this time, please do your best to join the next one.
- Next race: Wilmslow Festive 10k on Sunday 22nd November 2026.
Race Marshalling Declaration
- Marshalling has been very much part of Wilmslow HC for over 30 years!
- The funds we raise each year are equivalent to 30 full adult members - that’s 2 extra teams!
- Therefore, we have added a “Race Marshalling Expectation” to the registration process in Teamo. (You may have already seen it.)
- All members and parents/guardians are now required to confirm the following during registration:
- Race Marshalling expectation:
- I understand that:
- all adult members,
- all parents/guardians of junior members and
- all teenage junior members themselves (with parents/guardians) ...
- are expected to volunteer to marshal ...
- for at least 1 of the 3 local races that the club supports each year.
