Thanks for your message!
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for being a marshal for the WIlmslow Running Festival.
Key points:
Your job as a marshal is to direct and assist runners and advise spectators. Stray motorists or cyclists should be politely dissuaded from entering the course.
Please be in position for 9am because traffic around the course is likely to be congested. The races start at 10am.
There will be the Rock Choir performing on Morley Green and the Semitone Singers on Newton Hall Lane. Marshals are encouraged to bring "boomboxes"!
Traffic Management Contractors, Amberon Ltd, have been appointed to manage traffic on A538 and B5085
On safety grounds, Cheshire East Highways have granted a complete road closure on the course for the duration of the races.
In order to summon medical help, contact the Central Medical Control on 07970 384932. Please give your marshal position number (on attached map) or accurate location, and the runner’s number.
For any other incidents contact me, Stu, Louisa or Sharon.
Please help gather runners’ litter in the bags provided.
You are free to go after the Last Runner Vehicle has passed.
Your efforts and the support you give to the runners is very much appreciated. This is demonstrated annually by the post-race deluge of thanks on social media.
THANK YOU!
Steve Kinsella, Course Director. 07923 008161
