We wanted to make everyone aware of some important changes to club rules/policies. We’ve also included some reminders of upcoming events - including the social THIS SATURDAY!

New Club Policy: Anti-Sexual Harassment
- Changes to the Equality Act 2010 came into force in October 2024, requiring all organisations to be proactive in identifying situations where sexual harassment might occur (e.g. a bar environment) and take reasonable steps to prevent it.
- We have therefore developed our own Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy setting out the Club’s zero-tolerance for sexual harassment and confirming that the club will take all such allegations seriously.
- The new policy has been adopted by the committee and all members are bound by the policy, effective immediately.
- Any member who believes they have been subjected to sexual harassment at the club is encouraged to report the incident: either by email to discipline@wilmslowhockey.org.uk or anonymously via the Contact Us form on the website.
Updated Club Rules and Policies
- The committee has agreed 3 changes to the Club Rules and Policies, effective immediately:
- To adopt the new Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy (see above) (Section 7)
- To clarify the existing disciplinary process for a red card or 3 yellow cards in a season: both are referred to a Disciplinary Committee which can impose a match ban for the most serious offences or a warning - in addition to any sanction enforced by the league. (Section 6.4)
- To include a simple process for managing complaints about breaches of club rules or code of conduct. (Section 6.3)
