Marshalling instructions - Sunday 24th Nov

Thank you to all those who have volunteered to marshal on Sunday!

Your role is to to give advice to runners, spectators and the general public to help ensure that the race goes ahead safely and is enjoyed by everyone. 

In doing so, you are helping raise vital funds for the club!

Collect your yellow tabard in advance

  • In advance: Clubhouse entrance or Kit Room Thurs/Friday evenings or Saturday during the day.
  • In advance: Outside Sharon's house - 5 Rodeheath Close, Wilmslow, SK9 2DL from Wednesday
  • On the Day: From Kings Arms Roundabout from 0800 Sunday morning
  • On the Day: Sharon will drive around the course around 0830 on Sunday and will have spares.

Get ready

  • Check your assigned position on the list below - if there are any errors/omissions, let Sharon know ASAP.
  • Check your assigned position again here on Saturday in case of late changes to positions.
  • Read the medical and emergency instructions below from the race organisers.
  • Make a note of the emergency medical numbers: Adam 07779302914 and Sharon 07802 212202

Instructions for marshals on the day

  • Be in position by 8:30 latest especially the positions later on in the course or you will be seriously impacted by road closures.
  • Start time is 9:10 for Wheelchairs and 9:15 for runners.
  • Ensure you have the course map, Medical Emergency and Sharons number (07802 212202) with you hand.
  • DO NOT leave your position or allow traffic in either direction until told to by Run North West or Sharon, not just after the last runner (as they need to get to the next check points and roads have to be cleared of rubbish by the RNW team.)
  • Please take pictures and post on social media - tag the club social media accounts or send photo's to our Social Media team (Emma Steiger, Jamie Shuttleworth, Sophie Pearson).

PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY

In the event of a medical emergency, the following procedure must be followed

  1. For medical emergencies, contact ADAM on 07779 302 914 and give - clear description of incident, location to nearest KM mark, & participants race number.
  2. For any other emergencies or issues, please contact either the events team on the below numbers or via Radio on Channel 3.
  3. In the event of an incident we require names / contact details of witnesses & information about the incident. Accident Forms are at Race HQ.
